Which cars are more fuel efficient?

I always have this conception that toyota cars are more fuel efficient but are there other car models that are better in that aspect?

Should you purchase rental cars?  I've heard mixed reviews.  I'm looking to buy a used Toyota, and I don't know if I should look into rentals or just go to a dealership.

Hello Sara, Whether you purchase a rental or a dealer car makes no difference to the car.  It is all about you.  Things to consider are similar to that when buying a used car off the street; do your research.  My car now has over 165,000 miles and though it now is starting to run rough it was a rental and I paid just above fair trade in '04 with 50k miles. A used car in any lot has had a previous owner.  A dealer may offer an additional warranty and always offers financing.
